Well worth your time!

Short and sweet…

If you have been around the Traffic Exchange industry for more than a couple of minutes, then you undoubtedly have received admin/support replies from multiple exchanges…

with a “common” signature.

Even though the signature is “common”, the woman is not.

I am referring to Cat Heiter…

Cat has been the “glue” that has held together a scattered niche… making it possible for many TE owners and newbie marketers… to get their feet underneath them, gain valuable experience, and avoid drowning in their own efforts.

She is one of those patient, caring people who quietly (and competently) helps others… giving of herself and her time.

Why mention this now?

Well, now Cat needs our help…
I won’t try to draw a picture for you in this blog post.

I simply want to tell you that in my opinion, she is worthy of your time and consideration.

Please, click this link to read a bit more about her circumstances…
and help her, if you can.

BONUS!
There is “MASSIVE” value there for your efforts, too!

Thanks so much (in advance) to all of my subscribers…
for anything that you are able to do for Cat!

What does 9,701 and $112.39 have in common?

PATIENCE!
PATIENCE!
PATIENCE!

Well, it has been another month since my last post. Been very busy with the redesign of my website, Instant Splash (and starting to get quite excited now).

Before I divulge the significance of the two numbers in the title of today’s post…

I want to preach PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE.

Unfortunately, many people simply ignore informational emails from Paypal.

This evening Paypal is transitioning to an upgraded platform, and this will undoubtedly cause many, many problems and misunderstandings between consumers and webmasters.

I recommend that everyone take responsibility for their own Paypal account and and effect their own due diligence in this matter.

At the very least, read the blog posts that Paypal has prepared, and be aware that much will be beyond any webmaster’s control.

Nuff said about that…

SIGNIFICANCE?

So… what do the two numbers (in the title of today’s post) have in common?

PATIENCE!
PATIENCE!
PATIENCE!

Yes, that is the common thread!

FIRST NUMBER: 9,701

In a world of instant gratification, this may not mean much to many online marketers.

However, by simply blogging once or twice a month (for 18 months now)…
and constantly promoting a splash page in rotation for my blog…

My subscriptions have topped 9,700!

YEP! PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE…

SECOND NUMBER: $112.39

Since John Bell launched Fast Cash and Traffic (almost exactly one year to the day, I believe)…

I have enjoyed an excellent flow of both Traffic AND Cash!

And I am not the only one to think so, either.

Many of my referrals in John’s program agree… and have upgraded.

Many of my referrals in John’s program agree… and take advantage of many fine (low-cost) offers, too.

Here is a copy-and-paste of my commissions for the past 2 and 1/3 days:

2012-04-16 19:17:55 Startpage – 20 Apr 2012 2.57 Unpaid

2012-04-19 09:01:25 Fast Cash and Traffic Gold 1Y Upgrade OTO 16.25 Unpaid

Total Owing: $112.39

YEP! PATIENCE, PATIENCE, PATIENCE!

So, in closing, let me just say…
Hmmm, I forgot my point.

So shall ye reap – BORING!

PREAMBLE TO MY POST…

This post addresses a topic that I have wanted to address for quite awhile. Until today, I had relegated it to a lower rung of my priority ladder.

However, yesterday I read a very well-written blog post by Paul Coonan (over at vTrafficRush). His analogies were very effective and enlightening. His words rang so clearly and loudly in my ears.

Paul’s tone was not of desparation, but rather disappointment for those marketers who don’t get it, don’t follow-thru, or don’t stick it out until the rewards finally do trickle in.

NO, this subject matter is NOT SEXY or exciting!
YES, this subject matter is germaine to my post, honest!

More on Paul’s post later…

OK!
HERE IS MY ACTUAL POST… LOL

Yet another month has elapsed since my last post. Wow!

Believe me when I say, that I look forward to the day that I can post more often, because your thoughts and comments are truly worth their weight in gold to me.

Alas, we all have to set our priorities… and consequently budget our time accordingly.

Many times “prioritizing” means sacrifice, hard work and the postponement of many things we enjoy (and would rather be doing).

Many, many months ago, I embarked on a complete redesign of my original website Instant Splash. My intentions and ambitions for this redesign were “grandios”, to say the least.

And, yes, I was foolishly naive to think that (with my limited programming skills) I could knock it all out in a matter of months.

I am many months behind my original goal, but still working long hours each and every day toward same.

Please, bare in mind, that when I first built Instant Splash, I had never written a script and knew nothing about programming. PERIOD.

I “googled” for many months (learning how to program a membership site). Then, after many months (lost inside a HUGE learning curve), I promoted my little site for many months, to get the word out.

NOTE: many months, many months, many months…

FINALLY… after about a year of 16-20 hour days… I was an “overnight success”!

Naturally, many marketers envied (and many begrudged me) my success. Many did not consider or conceive of, the sacrifice necessary to “self-teach” an “old dog” new tricks, and then nurture a fledgling website.

I am excited, and looking forward to the next version of Instant Splash…

However, I am not going to rush through the programming (or deliver less than I initially intended).

MY POINT?

Old school really…
Nothing happens overnight…
Anything worth doing is worth doing right…
Your internet marketing efforts require AND deserve no less dedication!

BACK TO PAUL’S POST…

Please, do these two things for me today:

1) Comment below (from your heart)
2) Read Paul’s post (comment there as well)

I look forward to your input!

Cool site – Great admins!

Just a quick note today (yes, I am still mired in programmers’ hell… lol).

Anyway, one of the handful of traffic exchange admins that I really respect, is launching a unique advertising site as I am typing this post!

Don Snyder (owner/admin of Horror Movie Hits) is partnering with Kjell Skogsoy (owner/admin of Lords of Traffic).

Their new site is quite unique… and you know it will be well-managed.

Multi Ad Mailer has a lot going for it besides just the admins!

So WHAT is so cool?

Multi Ad Mailer tracks your ad so you can see how many real people have clicked on your link.

And for icing on the cake, Multi Ad Mailer allows you to send up to 5 different solos to different parts of the list to see which of your ads are most effective!

This crucial benefit will allow you to actually MEASURE the quality of your emails so you can make adjustments and improvements as needed.

(Plus, there is a cool Bingo game for fun!)

They really want you to check out the many ways that their new site can help you grow your business.

Hey, they are willing to give you 1000 credits to get started (if you get over there right away).

I highly recommend Multi Ad Mailer.

Disclaimer: If you are new to this type of advertising, know that it takes a little while for the membership to grow enough to become POWERFUL!

It shouldn’t take long, though (considering the memberships at these guys’ traffic exchanges):

Horror Movie Hits

Lords of Traffic

Don’t quote me here, but I think they have something like 30,000 fresh sets of eyeballs for your ads!

Let me know what you think, aye?

Brazen promotion!

I need traffic, YOU need traffic…

AND the “List Bonus Guys” are at it again…

ONLY THIS IS EVEN BETTER!

They just launched (tongue-in-cheek here) a “Traffic Exchange” that has their own very UNIQUE, clever and fresh TWIST!

What if surfers HAD TO ACTUALLY VISIT your sites…

What if you earned credits 6 levels deep…

What if you checked it out now…

Traffic BONUS

IT IS COOL!

Where’s the Beef?

Been a few weeks since my last post… sorry about that.

Like many of you, I am way too busy around the holidays for casual blog-reading anyway, right… lol

This morning I am posting about an incredible occurrence (at least I think it is incredible).

Many of you have heard about AlertPay’s problems, that have plagued them for a few months now.

Here is my “quick take” on the situation:

It started with a complaint that AlertPay allowed purchases of products and services (pharmaceuticals, adult materials, etc.), that were not allowed in the US.

Of course, AlertPay is a Canadian company, so where’s the beef?

Anyway, Mastercard and Visa received so much pressure that they canceled all credit card processing… until such time as AlertPay came into compliance.

Sounds to me as though MC and Visa were changing horses in the middle of the stream (but, I cannot find enough information to know for certain).

Nonetheless, this nasty bit of business, was devastating to many, many online entrepreneurs.

Webmasters and admins have lost tons of revenue (some much more so than others).

Many marketers with subscriptions to various online services, had subscriptions canceled when this all first began (as their cc payments were not honored by MC and Visa).

AlertPay eventually managed to delay cancellation for many, but for an unknown period of time.

Even at my Instant Splash site, I witnessed long-time members apparently canceling subscriptions… only to resubscribe shortly afterwards.

Confusing and frustrating for everybody.

I found it necessary to edit my site script, delaying cancellations and locked accounts… as I did not want any “innocent” members to suffer from AlertPay’s problems.

As a result, many members have continued to receive upgraded status, even though their payments have not been forwarded from AlertPay for several months.

Of course, there are those folks who only “send” email (and do not “read” email… lol).

Consequently, many members have remained happily ignorant of the situation affecting their own payment processor accounts.

UNTIL NOW!

Just recently, I have received a couple “less than polite” inquiries, as to why I am billing them more than once for their subscription fees… “insisting” that I cease “cheating” them… and return that money to their accounts IMMEDIATELY!

Of course, other admins (and marketers who have been around for more than a few days) know that it simply does not work that way.

MEMBERSHIP SITES DO NOT BILL MEMBERS… PERIOD.

Members make a subscription arrangement with a payment processor to cover their obligation… there is “no need” and “no way” for a membership site to bill anybody!

What happens in, around and about a member’s payment processor accounts, is solely the responsibility of that member.

CHECK YOUR PAYMENT PROCESSOR ACCOUNTS REGULARLY…

It seems that AlertPay has now started to process those unpaid credit card payments (on accounts that were not canceled by themselves or the member).

It is not, however, clear to me whether these “catchup” payments are being processed via credit card or… from a member’s balance!

Be that as it may, I have seen 2,3 and 4 subscription payments arrive within days… from the same member!

Of course, it takes only a moment to confirm that these are payments that had been due for services rendered, but not yet paid.

Many folks seem all too eager to assume the worst.

Damned admins… “cheating” them AGAIN!

I for one have received virtually no information from AlertPay throughout this entire ordeal.

If any of you have similar stories or additional information…

Please, leave us your comment.

I am VERY impressed!

Click and GO List building!
BRAND NEW from Robert Puddy…

This is not a review, or blatant promotion.
This is one “blogging marketer” to his readers.

Many folks will FINALLY grasp a very slippery subject!

Social Predators!

I know this sounds more than just a little strange, but here goes.

Everyday I almost fear, that someone will come up with the next new social media “rave”!

Ok, so I am NOT really that paranoid… lol

However, I am so incredibly disappointed by the “social predators” who continually hijack (and ruin) internet sociability.

Without conscience or hesitation, they treat their “friends and follows” like a marketing list for everything from porn to charity drives!

Nothing is sacred to these predators, and their reach is long and all-inclusive.

CASE IN POINT:

- Blogs are basically social media…

- This blog post is sent to over 9,300 subscribers…

- A handful of the actual readership will leave comments…

- Automated “blog-comments” will exceed that by 3-5 times over…

- My “no-reply” inbox will receive 200 auto-replies (SPAM in my book)…

- And over the course of the next week or so, I will be pitched by many of my subscribers, who consider it “non-spam, fair-play” because, after all, “you email me and I email you”!

OMG!

What a load of horse-biscuits…

Many “so-called marketers” use this sort of justification, as a means to an end.

Once they have convinced themselves that, after all, “it is only fair”, they will collect any contact information, by any means, as opposed to building a REAL list.

Sure, there have always been those people in our “offline” lives, who target friends and family for every “opportunity” in which they participate.

BUT, MY WORD!

Social internet media has quickly become a thinly-veiled marketing and SPAM generation tool.

I must admit, that Facebook has made it possible for me to keep in touch with many old friends and acquaintances.

But recently, I have even started to dread those FaceBook email alerts!

I know that I will need to search through tons of pitches, game invites, meeting invites, ‘fill-in-the-topic’ invites, and other mind-numbing nonsense… just to uncover one or two tasty morsels!

SKYPE!

Skype had so much potential.

The social predators consumed that, too!

Skype is actually the inspiration for this post today.

It got me thinking about “social fads” and how they are first… embraced, and then… PILLAGED!

LET ME ASK…

If you had an offline friend, who was having personal or financial problems… would you pitch your latest “shiny object” at them?

I hope your answer is “NO”… lol

Yet, that discretion is not exercised online by the predators of whom I speak. Sad, actually…

ANYWAY, TO WRAP THIS UP…

Let me leave you with this little anecdote, paraphrased from a skype conversation with Arnold Lindstrom, just this morning.

BTW, Arnold is a “longtime-customer-turned-friend” (almost sounds backwards, doesn’t it… lol). We use our skype chats to stay in touch across miles and borders.

Arnold shared a funny story about a handful of teenagers, celebrating one of their birthdays at a cabin in the woods.

After cake, they all went outside to gather around the campfire and chat.

One of the curious Moms, who were chaperoning the party… grew suspicious of the absolute silence that ensued.

A quick trip outdoors, found all of the teenagers in place around the campfire…

TEXTING EACH OTHER!

AlertPay Problems!

AlertPay Problems!

If it’s not one thing, it’s another… lol

Recently, I have read many “bits and pieces” about the current problems facing AlertPay (and consequently their merchants and membership).

Many people do NOT know that AlertPay has NOT been able to process payments (or subscriptions) paid via credit card (MC and Visa, as I understand it), since the first week of October!

I have heard nothing definite, in terms of rectifying this problem.

Yes, I feel horrified for the website and program owners (regarding this problem).

Likewise, I fear that members of subscription-based programs are going to be startled (and disappointed), too!

Very few automated payment-processing scripts are equipped to handle such a situation…

At my Instant Splash membership site, commissions are paid on the first minute of every month.

However, the script that handles these commissions, only calculates them for members who are CURRENT (meaning that their subscription payment was made for the previous month).

Members whose subscription payment was NOT forwarded from AlertPay (for any reason), will NOT receive commissions!

Consider the overall effect for many marketers:

- credits not assigned to their advertising accounts
- commissions paid at non-upgrade (or zero) rates
- loss of potential referal upgrades
- etc., etc., etc…

We could dream up quite a list of very sordid, negative repercussions here!

What can be done?

I am encouraging every reader, to check all of your accounts, programs, subscriptions, etc.

Payments that are simply drawn from your balance (if adequate… lol) are not affected by this problem. This apparently affects only those payments that are specifically funded each time via MC or VISA.

Check anything handled via AlertPay and funded with a credit card, ASAP!

You may want to make other arrangements to pay your subscriptions (cancel any active ones first, though).

YOU ARE ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN PAYMENT OBLIGATIONS! NOT ALERTPAY…
